Uzuri Active was founded in 2024 in Pretoria, inspired by a passion for fitness and fashion that combines style, comfort and functionality. Our name, “Uzuri,” was inspired by the founder’s beloved French bulldog, Zuri, whose journey and challenges sparked a mission to give back and create something meaningful.

Zuri suffers from arthritis and hip dysplasia, which opened our eyes to the heartbreaking consequences of irresponsible breeding. This experience inspired us to donate 10% of all proceeds to local animal shelters, supporting their efforts to provide care and find loving homes for pets in need.
